Eastern Airways

Wednesday, December 14th, 2005

People were misdialling an Eastern Airways Ticket Reservations Number and ended up calling a 0870 belonging to TTNC instead. Fortunately, the numbers being dialled by mistake were not in use and had a recorded message giving TTNC contact details. Eastern Airways customers informed TTNC about the situation and in turn made contact with Eastern Airways.

There were hundreds of Missed Calls per month, the majority were meant for the Tickets Reservations Number. Eastern Airways is able to monitor all incoming calls by using TTNC’s advanced Web Based Control Panel and viewing detailed Call Data or Downloading Call Data Records (CDR’s).

TTNC helps Glen Dimplex

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005

TTNC noticed some call traffic on some 0870 Numbers that were not ‘In Use’ at the time. After routing the calls to an answering service, we found out that the callers were misdialling a Telephone Number, or they had seen one of TTNC 0870 468 Numbers printed on a Glen Dimplex Brochure or Manual.

After many calls from people with questions about their stoves and cooking appliances, we made contact with the Telecom’s manager at Glen Dimplex and explained the situation. We established which of our 0870 468 numbers were being dialled by mistake and started routing the calls to the appropriate Glen Dimplex Call Centre within 2 hours.

Eastern Helicopters Premium Rate Competition (SMS and Voice)

Tuesday, April 5th, 2005

TTNC has activated a Premium Rate Competition service using SMS and IVR Technology for Eastern Helicopters, a Commercial Helicopter Operator and Flight Training School based in Essex, UK. Winners of the competition get to enjoy a free flight in a Helicopter along the Thames and other major London attractions. Part of the proceeds raised by the Competition goes to Essex Air Ambulance.

TTNC provided a One Stop Premium Rate Solution for Eastern Helicopters, providing end to end solutions for both Voice and Mobile Services. Callers can dial a TTNC Premium Rate Telephone Number (0906 591 0011) and listen to a recorded message (the question), they are then given 3 possible answers, the caller then presses one of the Telephone keypads to answer the question and our IVR system then records the callers name and telephone number. All correct answers are entered into a draw.

To use the SMS platform, users simply text HELICOPTER and send the text to 82722, they will then receive a text message informing them if their answer is correct or incorrect. All correct answers will be entered into a draw as above. Calls and Messages cost £1.50 (inc. vat) per call and per text message.
