Company News - July 2020

Company News /

We hope you're well and staying safe.

As August approaches, thousands of UK businesses are finding themselves in a rather strange situation of having to decide whether to open up their offices - or to carry on working from home. Like many other companies, we closed our offices in March, and since then, our entire team has been working remotely.

Although there's a need, and desire to get the economy started up again, we feel that it's still necessary to be cautious and keep everyone safe. As a result, we've decided to continue working from home for the remainder of 2020. Unfortunately, this means that we won't be able to host any visits or meetings at our offices for the rest of the year.

ITSPA awards go virtual

This year's ITSPA (Internet Telephony Services Providers' Association) Awards were due to take place in April at the renowned Sea Containers House, London. The date was pushed back to October, and now, due to the ever-changing Covid-19 situation, the 12th annual ITSPA Awards ceremony will be held online on 24th of September.

We've been named as a finalist in three categories so whether it's online or in-person, we can't wait to see how we do this year. Hopefully, we'll have some good news to share with you in September!

Trustpilot

We're delighted to see that we're back at the Number 1 spot in all three of our Trustpilot categories. We are proud of our Trustscore of 5 out of 5, which is higher than any other telecom provider. Well done to all the team for getting us there again!

Internship

This month saw Jake Hillion re-joining our development team. Jake is studying Computer Science at Queens College, Cambridge and will be with us for the next three months. Welcome back Jake, we're delighted to have you on board again!

We still want to help

As we're starting our nineteenth week of working from home, we want to reiterate our pledge to support those groups, charities and health care workers who are responding to the Covid-19 crisis and giving their all in this time of need.

If you're an outreach project, a community support group, a charity or part of our amazing NHS, we will provide you with our services free of charge (including all calls and SMS) for as long as you need them.

Please get in touch with us if you think we can help in any way.

Ported mobile numbers - SMS functionality

While we've been able to port mobile numbers onto our network for several years, we can now offer full SMS functionality via myTTNC for all mobile numbers. This means you can send SMS via myTTNC and receive notifications about inbound messages to email or text.

If you are looking to port a mobile number, please contact the porting team on porting@ttnc.co.uk.

Account Management

We have recently introduced a new process to ensure we keep empty and un-used accounts to a minimum. If an open account, containing no numbers or services, is dormant for 12 months it will be closed. Any outstanding Call Credit will expire on termination.

We have updated our Terms and Conditions accordingly.
