VoIP - Simple, cost-effective telecoms

VoIP /

A recent study shows that 31% of businesses worldwide are already using a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone system. Customers making the switch from traditional PSTN phone lines have seen an average saving of 50% on their monthly bills. With the switch-off of the analogue phone network taking place in 2025 and BT no longer selling ISDN lines, VoIP is the ideal solution going forward.

The simplest and most cost-effective way to make and receive calls is over the internet using our multi-award-winning VoIP service. Our fully hosted VoIP solution requires little more than an internet connection, a TTNC Phone Number, a VoIP User and a VoIP Handset (or the free TTNC Softphone Apps for Mobile and Desktop).

If you're using an 01/02 local, an 03 non-geographic or 07 Mobile number, all inbound calls are completely free. Inbound calls to 0800 and International numbers are cheaper than our standard UK forwarding. Internal calls and transfers to colleagues with VoIP Users are also free.

Each VoIP User includes access to our free Softphone Apps, giving you the ability to make and receive calls via a mobile, tablet or computer. The apps can be set up in seconds and come packed with everything you need to keep in touch with your clients and colleagues from any location with a reliable internet connection.

Alternatively, we offer a wide range of VoIP hardware that has been carefully hand-picked and rigorously tested so that you can get the most from your TTNC VoIP service. All our handsets ship with next-day delivery and are pre-configured so that they will work straight out of the box.

What do our customers think?

They have been customers for nearly a decade and made the switch to VoIP six years ago. Noah, their Marketing Manager, says, "Can't rate these guys highly enough. We have been using them for many years now and honestly can't think of any faults or any issues we have had with them." He continues, "We have multiple numbers with them currently, and everything runs so smoothly. They supplied our office with eight new VoIP handsets and set them all up for us, and they work flawlessly. The support team at TTNC is fantastic as well; everyone there is friendly and happy to help; they always have the answers you are looking for!”

The Independent General Practice, a private GP service in South Wales and the West of England, have been using our VoIP service since the first lockdown. Ops Director, Kieran, tells us, "Having more flexibility in how our staff work has been a great benefit of using VoIP, so much so that TTNC are now our only telecoms provider. Their ability to take our ideas and implement changes to our setup has given us a new system that works for all of us.”

It's quick and easy to set up (near instantaneous). They don't have contracts, so it's great if you want to give it a go first. The myTTNC control panel is well built and easy to navigate/configure. I particularly like the fact that the services are modular, which means they are flexible and can package can be built to suit any business."

Gallinet, who provides workplace management solutions, have used TTNC's VoIP service since 2017. Marcus, their CEO, says, "We're very happy with TTNC, we put 80,000 calls through their VoIP system, and the proportion of queries we might have on that traffic is barely measurable."

All Jobs Pro is an online recruitment site offering everything from vacancy advertising to scheduling interviews. They have been using VoIP since 2016. Director, Nick, told us, "The call quality has always been great, their powerful but easy to use admin console allows you to make changes easily, and if you need help, their customer service is always on hand either by chat or call, with no waiting."

EducationAppeals.com, a training service for Admission and Exclusion Appeals panels, have recently moved to VoIP. Director, Steve says, "We have been VERY pleased with the service and support we have had from Will and his team. Nothing was too much trouble and the phones arrived by courier the next day. A company to be recommended."

How can I use VoIP?

Each person looking to make and receive calls requires a VoIP User. You can add VoIP Users to your current numbers by simply purchasing them from the myTTNC Store, or you can add them to your basket when buying your first TTNC number from our website.

Once purchased, the VoIP User can be configured from within the VoIP section of myTTNC; we have an in-depth Help Guide for this process. The VoIP User can be added as a forwarding destination for all numbers in your account, but for outbound calls, only the TTNC number it is associated with will be displayed.
