We want to help
We are all worried about what is happening at the moment. The uncertainty of the next few weeks, or months, the situation in the supermarkets, and the fear of job losses and financial instability all add to the feeling of helplessness.
The community spirit is one of the true bright spots of this crisis. Whether it's the Italians having balcony parties, corner shops giving COVID-19 kits to those at most risk, Becky Wass' postcard to help those who are self-isolating or closer to home, having a chat with octogenarians, John and Margaret at number 97, to make sure they're doing alright.
It's fantastic to see so many groups coming together to help each other and to support their local communities. We're overwhelmed by their selfless focus that we have seen first hand over the last couple of days; from new ideas from individuals wanting to help their local community, to the hard work of existing organisations who have repurposed their existing phone numbers to provide emergency support.
What we will do
For those people and organisations who are providing essential or critical services as part of the COVID-19 response, we want to help.
If you are an outreach project, a community support group, a charity or part of our amazing NHS, we will provide you with any of our communication services, free of charge, for as long as they are needed.
Whether you need a solution for home workers, a helpline for your local area's vulnerable people or an automated SMS messaging system, we will give you everything you need to make a difference.
We think that it's only fair we provide your telecoms solution for free. You are going the extra mile to help others in need, and for that, we are eternally grateful.
